Metro 8.2 theme

So, yesterday my friend came up to me and said he just downloaded a $3.99 windows 8 theme. I said
"same-pinch" except for the fact that i brought it for free. Yes, the windows 8 theme is out by the jailbreak community and within a few days have hit a million downloads already.
The 8.2 is the newest update by themelt, of metro 8. It is a pretty good theme for all those craving for the new Windows8 look. This is just for you guys. the complete UI including the icons background categories and functions is inspired from the windows theme(windows 8)

It features a big Start Menu with 8 large customizable icons. along with the icons are 3 large hubs :
  1. Start
  2. Social
  3. Apps
All of the hubs are fully customizable and can be rearranged according to one's convenience any time of the day. There are three icons placed at the dock position (bottom) which consist of - The App store icon the windows logo and the rotation icon. All these three will go invisible once you start to navigate the pages. To get them back just click on the bottom of the screen and it will reappear again.
On clicking on the App Store Icon, both default and 3rd party apps will alphabetically show up in a list on the same green background  as the original theme. This is very useful as you save time on looking up for the app in the basic mega hub tabs. Second is the windows logo. It solves the purpose of switching back to the default apple theme without the need to restart manually. The last one helps to switch between portrait and landscape view whenever you wish to change from horizontal to vertical or vice-versa.

iPod Touch 5

In an age where your phone can hold all the music you own you may be wondering why you might still need an iPod touch 5th Generation. The answer is that the iPod touch is not just an iPod anymore. While Apple still sells the old fashioned iPod Classic and has just rebooted with the iPod nano 7th Generation, the iPod touch has taken over as the champion of the iPod brand – it's essentially a media player par excellence that has morphed into a handheld gaming console thanks to the sheer number of excellent, and very cheap, games available via the App Store.
It's this gaming and app angle that really gives the touch its raison d'ĂȘtre. If you can't afford the premium tariffs that the iPhone attracts and you still want to take advantage of the thousands apps that Apple's App Store holds then the iPod touch is your cheapest route to entry.

THE BUILD

The iPod Touch is made from the same anodised aluminium as Apple has made its MacBook range from four years. The result is a phenomenally light device, weighing in at just 88 grams – about the same weight as 9 pound coins.
  • Height: 4.86 inches (123.4 mm)
  • Width: 2.31 inches (58.6 mm)
  • Depth: 0.24 inch (6.1 mm)
  • Weight: 3.10 ounces (88 grams)
Even when you do have it in your hand, you’ll want to be rather careful. The aluminium surface is prone to slide out of a cold hand, and coming up to Christmas, a case should be considered a necessity.

Android Lock XT

Not too long ago, someone asked, “can the iPhone have the same unlock screen as the android phones? You know, the kind where you connect the dots to unlock.” Well, ask and you shall receive. A new tweak, for jailbroken devices, in Cydia, does just that. From Zmaster and the BigBoss repo comes Android Lock. Just install the package, and then go to Settings/AndroidLock and draw in your pattern. Make sure, if you already have a lockscreen passcode set, that you disable it first. Unless you want a redundant passcode for extra security.

November 6, 2012

Apple today announced it has sold three million iPads in just three days since the launch of its new iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad — double the previous first weekend milestone of 1.5 million WiFi-only third-generation iPad models. The WiFi + Cellular versions of both iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad will ship in a few weeks in the U.S. and in many more countries later this year.

Microsoft and Apple (AAPL) are garnering the highest profit margins for their tablets, followed by Google(GOOG) and then Amazon, according to research firm IHS. Microsoft's first self-made tablet, the Surface, costs about $267 in parts and labor when excluding its optional keyboard cover. It went on sale Oct. 26 priced at $499, for a profit margin of around 46 percent. Surface comes with a 10.6-inch screen measured diagonally, and can access the Internet only through Wi-Fi. The price is for its base model with 32 gigabytes of memory.Internet only through Wi-Fi. The price is for its base model with 32 gigabytes of memory. With a similar configuration, the Surface bakes in slightly more profit for Microsoft than Apple did when it released its third-generation iPad in March.
